9mm Parabellu Bullet was formed in Yokohama in 2004. The two mini albums made with a mixture of punk, metal, emo, and hard-core J-pop released from Zankyo Records became a topic at the overseas-based record companies. They started performing at venues in Tokyo and through the joint performances with other bands their blasting gigs became popular. In `07 they took part in a major music festival “Countdown Japan 06/07” and “Punkspring 07.” The solo show at O-nest in Shibuya sold out in 5 minutes. A limited edition disc, “The World e.p.” released in May marked number 10 at the Oricon daily chart, an extraordinary score for a pre-debut track. They completed their first, nation-wide club tour with aggressive performance. Their debut album “Discommunication e.p.” marked number 7 at the Oricon daily chart and their first full-length album “Termination” peaked at number 4. With the release of the album, they went on a first, nation-wide, solo tour “Termination Tour 08” performing at 13 venues which ended with a huge success. Their latest release “Supernova/Wonderland” came out in May. They performed at the sold-out solo show at Shibuya-AX in June and they are already scheduled for another solo show at Hibiya in October. They will also be appearing at various summer events.
