Asian Kung-Fu Generation was founded in Yokohama in 1996 at the member`s university music circle. They started playing gigs locally in Yokohama and moved on into venues in Tokyo where they proved themselves that they can rock in Japanese. The mini album “Hokai Amplifire” released in 2002 by an independent label was extremely well-received that it was re-released in 2003 by Ki/oon Records, making a major label debut. The music that depicts frustration, and the emotional sensation that turns desperation into a driving power earned popularity amongst various audiences, making them the leading artist of the Japanese music scene. They attained the musical depth in their second album “Sol-fa” (`04) and the third album “Fanclub” (`06) and reached some sort of perfection in their 4th album “World, World, World” released this year. Followed immediately was the release of a mini album, “Mada Minu Ashita ni.” They never seize to create. This year they toured Japan with the “World World World Tour 2008” and will also host the annual “NANO-MUGEN FESTIVAL 2008.”
